Introducing CIPL Charity projects

School is a place of learning, but also a living space of solidarity and civic engagement. In an international and multicultural context such as that of the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle, it is essential to cultivate, from an early age, values of openness, responsibility and mutual support. The CIPL thus wishes to strengthen its civic mission by creating a Charitable Committee, a place for dialogue, reflection and collective action.

This committee will be dedicated to selecting, supporting and coordinating charitable, social or environmental projects, in connection with the entire school community: students, families, teachers and school staff.

Through this initiative, several objectives are aimed for:

  • Foster concrete student engagement around major contemporary causes (medical research, environmental protection, social inclusion...).
  • Actively involve parents in unifying projects that are meaningful and aligned with educational values.
  • Strengthen links between school and families, in a collaborative, creative and solidarity-based dynamic.
  • Educate for citizenship, by giving children real opportunities to act and understand their impact on the world.

Inspired by recognized initiatives such as British solidarity mobilization campaigns in schools (for example the "100 skips per day for cancer research" in October Skipping Challenge | Cancer Research UKthis approach is part of a desire to combine pedagogy, benevolence and concrete action in service of the general interest.
