CIPL challenges the decision to increase fees by 2%

As you are aware, the AEFE has decided upon a further increase (2%) for the 2026-2027 school year in order to cover the 2026 Budget. This was done without consulting the large majority of members of the School Board (including your CIPL representatives) who met on 02/02/2026 and voted against the budget and therefore against this increase.

Today we have sent a letter to the Director General of the AEFE requesting that she econsider this decision..

Our approach is based on a specific observation: the Supplementary Financial Contribution (PFC) calculated at 6% of the school fees and paid by the lycée to the AEFE, has increased by 27% for 2026... And this is not because the AEFE has provided new services to the LFCG, but because of the inclusion of VAT in its calculation method.
We have therefore requested explanations and are awaiting a response before the next School Board meeting on 22 April 2026.

We continue to work with the lycée management to analyse all the charges weighing on the establishment’s budget and to identify any available room for manoeuvre in order to limit future increases as much as possible.

We will keep you informed of the AEFE’s response and of the next steps in our efforts.

The elected parents and trustees of the CIPL.
