Transparency report : Fête de l’école primaire South Kensington 2026
The CIPL was proud to organise the first end-of-year fête open to parents on 26 June, the culmination of a project we had been carrying forward to strengthen the bond between the school and families. Working together with APL volunteers, the two associations put together a wonderful celebration for all the children.
Thanks to the generosity of parents, £2 840 was raised for the occasion, a similar level to previous years, but this time collected in full, with no commission taken!
There was no need to draw on the APL grant, which had historically stood at £1 per enrolled child, or around £500. We hope that the sum the association has therefore saved will go towards charitable projects for the school in the new year.
Furthermore, thanks to careful cost management and donations in kind — for which we thank Chanteroy, Hummingbird Bakery, Lola’s cupcakes, Soul Campus and Europafoodsas well as refunds and cancellations for unused materials, the fête's budget breaks down as follows:

As a result, this surplus of donations will be reinvested over the course of the year to fund the purchase of play equipment for the children — playground games and the like — as well as the acquisition of materials for future fêtes and activities. Finally, any remaining balance will be carried forward to the school's next fête, in order to further ease the call for donations from families.
We are delighted to be able to contribute to the LFCG community in this way, and we thank once again the parents, school staff and parent volunteers who helped make this event, in this brand-new format, such a success.
