CIPL today extended its condolences to the LFCG teams, along with its support and most sincere thoughts to Mrs. Bellus-Ferreira's family, following the devastating announcement of her passing.
The elected parents, represented by Ophélie Lafitte for the CIPL, met with Mr. Alexandre Morois, Director General of AEFE, at LFCG. The discussions covered in particular:
- Continuity of teaching: the start of the school year will proceed as planned, according to the calendar circulated last week by the school and available here,
- A minute of silence will be observed by all students and staff at the school on Monday, September 7th in the morning,,
- Students who wish to may speak with the Well-being team at any time.
Mr. Alexandre Morois wishes to reassure families during this period of transition in leadership:
- The deputy heads will continue to make day-to-day decisions, with support from the finance department when needed.
- Structural decisions will be made by the AEFE Director General, as the LFCG is an Etablissement en Gestion Directe (EGD).
- The job description for recruiting a new Head of school will be refined and published very quickly in order to meet with candidates. The option of an interim Head of school has not been chosen.
The Director General is prioritizing the quality of a candidate suited to LFCG, followed by their availability, and anticipates the new Head of school taking up the role before the end of the year.
A letter will be sent to families by Mr. Morois before the end of the week.
